Joining the opening team as the Pre-Opening Executive Chef provides the rare opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the culinary vision and identity of this new property. In the role of Pre-Opening Executive Chef at Signia by Hilton Indianapolis, you will assume a pivotal leadership position that directly impacts the property's gastronomic offerings and guest satisfaction levels. You will be responsible for directing, planning, and administering all culinary operations in the hotel, ensuring quality, innovation, and financial profitability. This includes overseeing food preparation, production, presentation, and safety compliance across all eight dining venues, as well as managing team member productivity and performance. The Executive Chef will work closely with the Director of Food and Beverage to create innovative menus that highlight current food trends and regional flavors, contributing uniquely to the hotel’s overall dining experience. A critical aspect of this role is fostering relationships with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction trends and address any concerns promptly. You will enforce strict compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards to maintain Hilton’s reputation for excellence. Additionally, you will handle general management duties such as budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and departmental management — all while building and developing a strong, motivated culinary team. Recruitment, interviewing, training, and performance evaluations of team members are fundamental responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of leadership and professional development.
