The role of Part-Time Wine & Spirits Specialist – Sommelier at Stew Leonard's Wines & Spirits offers an enriching opportunity for individuals passionate about wine, spirits, and the art of pairing these beverages with food. This position is designed for wine lovers who enjoy engaging with customers by sharing expertise, recommending pairings, and building meaningful relationships that enhance the shopping experience. Offering a pay range of $24.50 to $28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, this role requires the candidate to be at least 18 years old and available for part-time hours including evenings, weekends, and important retail holidays.
The specialist acts as the face of the wine and spirits section, serving as the go-to expert on the sales floor. Responsibilities include advising customers, curating cocktail recipes, hosting tastings and educational classes such as Wine 101 or Spirits 101, and organizing in-store events. Additionally, the specialist will develop newsletters and product features to communicate trends and new arrivals to customers, manage a 
                - must be at least 18 years old
 - availability to work evenings, weekends, and key retail holidays
 - 5+ years of experience in the wine and spirits industry
 - industry certification(s) such as WSET, CSW, or equivalent
 - strong customer service and selling skills
 - deep knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings
