As a Valet Attendant at The Manchester Hotel, you will play a crucial role within the guest services team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure guests experience seamless, professional, and courteous service starting with their initial arrival. This position requires a friendly and attentive attitude as you greet guests, assist with their luggage, and manage the valet parking operations efficiently and safely. The role involves considerable interaction with guests, necessitating excellent communication skills and a dedication to guest satisfaction. You will be responsible not only for safe vehicle handling but also for contributing to the overall smooth operation of the hotel services. Working as a Valet Attendant, you form a vital link between the guests and the hotel facilities. You will collaborate closely with the valet team and other hotel departments such as the front desk and concierge to ensure a coordinated guest experience. Your tasks will include greeting guests warmly, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures, safely handling and transporting luggage, and providing accurate information about the hotel amenities and local points of interest. You will also be responsible for monitoring entrance areas for safety and reporting any suspicious activities in adherence to security protocols. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle the physical demands of moving luggage and driving vehicles, including manual and standard transmission cars. Being neatly groomed and wearing the uniform properly is essential as it reflects the professionalism of the hotel. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and be capable of passing background and motor vehicle record checks. Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays is also required.
