The Food & Beverage Director role at The Springs Resort is a pivotal leadership position reporting directly to the General Manager. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 and demands a dynamic leader to oversee the resort’s entire Food & Beverage division. The director will be responsible for driving the division’s long-term growth and profitability while promoting a vibrant, guest-focused culture within the team. The Food & Beverage Director manages multiple outlets including The Cafe, Barefoot Grill, 1881 Poolside Provisions, Wild Finch, Canteen, and other lounge, banquet, and event catering services. These venues offer a diverse range of food options, emphasizing health-forward, wellness-driven cuisine alongside familiar and satisfying meals tailored to a wide spectrum of guest preferences.
The successful candidate will lead and develop the Food & Beverage team to deliver exceptional service and consistency across all venues. This role requires expertise in budget management, vendor relations, inventory control, and regulatory compliance to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. The Food & Beverage Director will also collaborate closely with resort leadership to execute banquets, events, and wellness programming, as well as provide culinary support during high-demand periods. This position embodies a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement to foster continuous improvement and innovation, enhancing guest satisfaction and operational excellence. - Highschool diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years of food and beverage management experience with 3+ years in senior leadership within a resort or hotel
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Expertise in restaurant, banquet, and beverage service operations
- Strong financial management experience including budgeting and cost control
- Culinary experience and willingness to function as a chef when needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Must be willing to relocate to Pagosa Springs, CO and embrace the mountain resort lifestyle
