The Food Runner position at The Stanley Hotel is a fundamental role concentrated on ensuring timely food delivery with impeccable plate presentation and maintaining the highest standards of food quality. This role demands a keen eye for detail, operational excellence, and a passion for hospitality. The Food Runner must possess complete knowledge of restaurant operations including table, seat, and station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, and dress code compliance. Additionally, the role requires adherence to departmental policies and service procedures, in-depth knowledge of all menu items including preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation standards, as well as a thorough understanding of liquor brands, wine, beer selections, and garnishes. The candidate will also be responsible for abiding by all state liquor regulations, especially those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons. Maintaining equipment correctly and understanding the use of point of sales and manual systems is also crucial. The Food Runner plays a collaborative part in supporting other employees and departments to ensure optimal overall performance of the department and hotel. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand continuously, lift and carry heavy trays and equipment, and navigate the restaurant environment efficiently. The role includes exposure to physical demands such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent mobility throughout the shift, and occasional exposure to extreme temperatures in kitchen and storage areas. This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive pay rate of USD 16.50 per hour.
