Within Metrea, the Special Air Missions Group (SAM) plays a crucial role. This group is responsible for the development and delivery of Metrea's Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Special Mobility, and Aerial Firefighting (AFF) capabilities. SAM ensures the integration of new mission systems and maintains operational readiness across specialized aviation operations. Their responsibilities include managing fleet maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering strategic partnerships that enhance mission effectiveness. By consolidating vast expertise and infrastructure, SAM guarantees that Metrea's airborne capabilities remain flexible and mission-ready amid dynamic operational environments.
The Travel Coordinator role at Metrea is an essential position focused on managing and coordinating complex domestic as well as international travel arrangements for Enterprise Teammates. This involves a deep understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and the ability to apply them meticulously to ensure that every travel activity complies with the relevant policies and procedures. The Travel Coordinator is tasked with processing travel authorizations, vouchers, and reimbursement packages accurately while working closely with travelers, leadership teams, and finance departments to obtain timely approvals and maintain proper documentation.
Key responsibilities for this role include managing travel budgets, monitoring discrepancies, maintaining accurate travel records, and generating detailed reports for audits and management reviews. Additionally, the Travel Coordinator needs experience with federal travel systems such as DTS, ConcurGov, E2 Solutions, and D365 to handle travel requests efficiently and ensure compliance with FAR guidelines. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, federal contracting environment.

This Travel Coordinator position is full-time and non-exempt, with a typical work schedule Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. While the work location is offered as a hybrid setup with three days in the office per week, the Tampa headquarters will serve as the home office. The role demands U.S. Citizenship due to government contract work and the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance is preferred. - Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in travel coordination within a federal contracting or government environment
- Working knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), JTR, and FAR-compliant travel processes
- Working knowledge of GSA based Travel Authorization Processes
- Familiarity with government travel systems such as DTS, ConcurGov, and E2
- 1-2 years of experience in a program analyst or administrative support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience supporting federal programs or working within a PMO
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Monday.com and other collaboration tools
- Must possess a valid US driver’s license
- A valid US Passport preferred
