The role of Banquet Manager at Oxford Commons is a pivotal position responsible for the seamless leadership of all banquet and event-related food and beverage operations. The Banquet Manager is tasked with ensuring flawless planning, organization, and execution of every event while strictly adhering to budget constraints and maintaining consistent service excellence. This position not only demands strong operational and logistical skills but also a sharp focus on cost control and profitability to optimize the overall event performance. In this role, the Banquet Manager supervises the entire banquet cycle from setup through execution to breakdown. Additionally, the manager takes charge of inventory control, compliance with health and safety regulations including alcohol service laws, and close collaboration with multiple internal departments including the kitchen, beverage management, and event programming teams. The Banquet Manager also works closely with external vendors such as audiovisual suppliers, floral decorators, and entertainment providers to guarantee seamless event delivery. Leadership is a core element of the job as the manager is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of banquet staff including servers, bartenders, and event leads, fostering a positive team environment and identifying future leaders.
