As a Steward, the incumbent will be hands-on with key operational tasks involving dishwashing, kitchen upkeep, and supply replenishment, all crucial to ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning. Duties include managing the dishwasher area, properly cleaning and storing china, glassware, and silverware, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen refrigerators and bars, as well as consistently monitoring chemical usage and dishwasher temperatures to ensure compliance and safety. Furthermore, this role supports all kitchen areas, including banquet and pastry shops, by providing necessary equipment, emptying trash, and assisting with event preparations. The Steward is also responsible for keeping all work areas clean, organized, and clear of obstacles, fostering a safe and efficient environment. • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
• sanitation and hygiene certificate preferably
• 1-2 years of experience as steward in a four star hotel or restaurant
• knowledge of job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• ability to read, write and communicate in English
