As a Station Operations Crewmember at Avelo Airlines, you will play a vital role at the heart of the station's daily functioning. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and who are capable of juggling multiple responsibilities with precision and care. Acting as the operational "quarterback," you will be the main point of contact within the station for both the Airport Operations Center (AOS) and the Operations Control Center (OCC), ensuring seamless communication and coordination. Your role will require real-time decision-making, close collaboration with pilots and airport authorities, and management of station processes to uphold the airline’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing ground operations such as aircraft arrivals and departures, ramp and gate management, boarding processes, baggage handling, deicing, and fueling. You will also serve as a subject matter expert for system processes, supporting crew members and customers alike, especially during irregular operations (IROPS). This role demands an ability to manage critical communication, advocate for the airline’s interests with airport authorities, and maintain detailed operational records. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem solving, possess excellent organizational skills, and demonstrate leadership qualities that promote teamwork and high performance.
This full-time position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, reflecting the 24/7 nature of airline operations. Physical stamina is also important, as the role may involve working on the ramp in various weather conditions and handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 70 pounds. With a minimum of three years of airline airport operations experience, candidates will bring a solid understanding of FAA, TSA, and other relevant regulatory requirements, alongside proficiency in operational management tools specific to Avelo's systems.
