The role we are highlighting is that of an Executive Chef to join our dedicated team at one of our senior living communities. The Executive Chef position plays a critical role in leading back and front of house operations within the kitchen and dining areas. This role is dynamic and requires a culinary professional who can efficiently work all kitchen stations and assist restaurant staff as necessary. The Executive Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing special events, banquets, and themed meals that delight residents and guests with creative menus crafted from high-quality ingredients. Beyond creativity, this role demands sharp budgeting skills, overseeing monthly and annual budgets for the Food & Beverage department to ensure expenditures comply with financial goals. The Executive Chef closely manages food costs, supply relationships, seasonal menu adjustments, and vendor contracts to maintain quality and cost-effectiveness. Supervisory responsibilities are essential, including hiring, training, scheduling, assigning duties, and conducting performance reviews for culinary and food service staff. The ideal candidate will have a blend of culinary expertise, leadership abilities, and customer service focus to ensure all dietary regulations are followed, food safety is prioritized, and residents’ satisfaction remains at the highest standards. Working collaboratively with other departments such as Marketing and Activities, this role also supports community events and works directly with residents and families to address any concerns, ensuring a superior dining experience.
