As part of a team operating 12-hour shifts with night shifts commencing at 5 PM, this position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and organized under pressure. The hourly rate for this role starts at $21 to $22 per hour, corresponding to an annual salary range from approximately $42,700 to $61,800, reflecting experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include managing all flight coordination data entries, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, following aircraft from takeoff to landing, and relaying critical flight and patient information accurately. The Communications Coordinator is responsible for handling incoming calls from various parties, coordinating between health care providers and receiving institutions, and facilitating communications between internal Communications Specialists and external agencies. The role also includes training responsibilities for new employees, maintaining adherence to AirCom's policies, and ensuring clear, precise communication critical to patient outcomes and operational safety. Successful candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, along with one to two years of relevant experience or training.
