The General Manager role at Ambrosia QSR is a dynamic and pivotal position responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the General Manager leads a team of Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable daily operations. This role combines people management with operational oversight, including ensuring consistent adherence to company policies, food safety protocols, guest service standards, and quality control measures.
As the face of the restaurant during peak hours, the General Manager actively mentors and motivates the team, fostering a culture of engagement, respect, and accountability. This individual is tasked with setting clear performance goals and establishing timelines for the team to achieve, ensuring that all employees understand their roles and expectations. The position requires strong skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and guests.
Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and developing staff; conducting performance reviews; managing labor and food costs; implementing marketing plans; and maintaining asset protection. The General Manager ensures all regulatory and company standards are met while championing customer satisfaction by creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for guests and employees alike. With an emphasis on operational excellence, this position requires hands-on leadership, diligent follow-through on operational priorities, and compliance with all relevant legal and company requirements.
In addition to operational leadership, the General Manager plays a vital role in profitability management through accurate sales projection, inventory control, cash handling oversight, and vendor relations. - High school diploma or equivalent
- Serv Safe training and certificate
- Prior experience with a POS system
- 2 years of hands-on food or retail management experience
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to successfully pass a background check including criminal history and a motor vehicle report
- Ensure compliance with all required training as mandated by local, state, and federal laws as well as company policies to maintain operational and regulatory standards
- Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and all state required insurances
- Maintain a working cell phone and effectively communicate via text, phone calls and emails
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A responsible team player demonstrating punctuality, proper attire, and respect for others
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment with shifting priorities is a plus
