The Runner position at Big Sky Resort is a pivotal behind-the-scenes role that supports multiple departments such as Housekeeping, Front Desk, Laundry, Food & Beverage, and Room Service. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and who are passionate about contributing to an exceptional guest experience. Runners act as essential connectors within the resort, efficiently responding to various requests, assisting with deliveries, supporting housekeeping efforts, and ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the property. Their proactive approach helps maintain smooth daily operations and contributes significantly to guest satisfaction.
In detail, Runners regularly walk assigned floors to collect soiled linens and trash from Room Attendants, keeping linen drops clean and organized while assisting the Laundry team when necessary. They deliver guest-requested items like robes, cribs, and rollaway beds, and support housekeeping by replenishing amenities and supplying fresh linens. Additionally, Runners perform occupancy checks, report lost and found items or room damages, and aid Room Attendants and Inspectors in completing their tasks. They are known for responding to guest requests with a friendly and timely manner, lending support to Food & Beverage teams by clearing used dishes when needed, and maintaining knowledge about the resort’s services and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
This role requires physical stamina as Runners must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on their feet for extended periods. Flexibility is essential since schedules are based on business needs. The position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who are reliable, service-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Familiarity with the Alice ticketing system is a plus, though willingness to learn is accepted.
