The position of Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant Associates presents an exciting leadership opportunity in culinary operations. This role reports directly to the Executive Chef and includes a salary range of $85,000 to $90,000 annually. As Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing daily culinary production operations, ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines to maintain safety, sanitation, and food quality standards. When the Executive Chef is unavailable, you will serve as the acting department head, managing staff and coordinating kitchen activities. The role also involves assisting in menu development, inventory control, purchasing, and food cost management to drive operational efficiency. Moreover, you will play a key role in training, sanitation oversight, and personnel management, including hiring, firing, counseling, coaching, and professional development of kitchen staff. This position is ideal for experienced culinary professionals with a passion for both high-volume food production and quality catering services in a dynamic, prestigious setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of culinary/kitchen management experience
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high volume kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
