We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $25.00 to $27.00 and offers flexible shift options to accommodate varying business needs. The Chef will play a pivotal role in directing food preparation, production, and operational control across all food outlets and banquet services at the resort. This leadership role demands a hands-on approach in supervising and coordinating the culinary team, including lead cooks, line cooks, prep cooks, and stewards, ensuring a high standard of food quality and presentation at all times.
The successful candidate will be responsible for continuously enhancing the food products offered, designing new menus, and making strategic changes based on current market trends and guest preferences. They will oversee ordering and supply management, maintain strict compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and monitor food cost to meet budgetary goals. The role also involves close collaboration with other hotel departments, participation in monthly food inventories, and supporting the executive management to optimize culinary operations and profitability. Additionally, the Chef will be instrumental in staff training, performance evaluation, and fostering a culture of excellence and consistent improvement within the culinary team. This position not only requires culinary expertise but also strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills to drive the success of the hotel’s food and beverage department.
                - High school or equivalent education
 - Minimum of five years experience as a Chef
 - Certification as Chef or Certified Master Chef
 - Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification
 - Valid driver’s license as required
 - Ability to work full-time and flexible shifts
 - Strong leadership and communication skills
 - Intermediate computer proficiency
 - Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
 - Capacity to work in high-temperature kitchen environments
 - Ability to stand and move for extended periods
 - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
 - Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage a team
 - Detail oriented
 - Strong organizational skills
 - CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred
 - Willingness to comply with company grooming and attendance policies
