The Sous Chef role at Global Partners plays a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the food service and beverage departments within their retail locations. Reporting directly to the Chef, the Sous Chef assists in managing all aspects of food preparation, execution, and team leadership while maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. This position requires a hands-on leader who can oversee daily operations, guarantee food quality, sanitation, and safety, and foster an exceptional customer experience. The Sous Chef is responsible for training and developing line cooks and food service associates, ensuring the execution of marketing programs, and achieving performance and profitability goals. This role demands excellent organizational and multitasking skills, the ability to handle multiple projects independently, and strong communication skills to liaise effectively with the team and customers. The position often involves physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive motion activities throughout the work shift.
