The role offered is that of a Service Valet, also known as a Lot Attendant or Service Porter. This is a full-time position with a scheduled workweek from 10:30 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, commensurate with experience. The person in this role plays a vital part in the dealership's service department, tasked with the responsibility of managing and maintaining vehicles within the service area. This position involves greeting and assisting customers as they drop off their vehicles for service or repair, thereby serving as one of the first points of contact and establishing a positive customer experience. The Service Valet is responsible for moving vehicles as required, supporting both sales and service operations, which includes maintaining the appearance and readiness of vehicles for both delivery to customers and showroom display. Duties include thorough cleaning of vehicles, involving washing, vacuuming, and polishing to ensure every vehicle looks its best. The role also involves installing protective covers and floor mats inside vehicles undergoing service to maintain cleanliness and applying protective chemical coatings to vehicle exteriors and windshields. Maintaining the internal and external cleanliness and appearance of the dealership's premises, including the showroom and lot, is also an essential duty.
