The role of Porter / Lot Attendant at Zeigler Ford is a vital position that supports both the sales and service departments, ensuring the smooth operation of the dealership. This full-time position focuses on managing vehicle movement, maintaining the organization and appearance of the dealership’s vehicle lot, and assisting customers in a courteous and professional manner. The successful candidate will play an essential role in helping to create a positive experience for every visitor by maintaining clean, well-presented vehicles and a tidy lot. Responsibilities include greeting customers and assisting with vehicle intake and delivery, moving and parking vehicles in designated areas, and keeping the service drive, shop, and customer lounge clean and orderly. The Porter / Lot Attendant will also wash and vacuum customer vehicles after servicing, assist with lot organization and vehicle display, perform vehicle pickups and drop-offs, and support light maintenance and cleaning tasks around the facility. Additionally, the role involves managing vehicle keys efficiently and providing support to service advisors and technicians as needed. Ideal candidates should possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and have the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles, although manual driving skills are preferred but not mandatory. Dependability, punctuality, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work outdoors and stay active on their feet for extended periods are necessary. Attention to detail and a customer-first mindset are crucial for maintaining the dealership’s professional appearance and service quality. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, it is not mandatory.
