Salad Cook - $20 per HOUR

The Salad Cook will work under the direction of the store manager to prepare various food items including salads, soups, desserts, and beverages according to specific recipes and within designated time limits. This role requires the ability to use kitchen tools such as ovens and stoves safely and efficiently while following food safety and knife safety procedures. Responsibilities include cleaning produce, assisting with the receipt and stocking of deliveries, rotating product to maintain freshness, and conducting deep cleaning tasks to uphold health and safety standards. The Salad Cook must accurately track waste and maintain portion control to minimize costs and ensure consistency in food quality. Familiarity with current recipes and the ability to follow detailed preparation guidelines daily is essential. Additionally, this role may involve some custodial duties as needed, contributing to a clean and organized work environment. This position is ideal for someone with previous experience in food preparation, who possesses a food handler's certification, and who understands the importance of food safety and customer satisfaction. • High school diploma or equivalent or in pursuit of same
• Must be able to complete CBC driver training, pass a MVR according to CBC standards and maintain a valid drivers license with insurance (now or when eligible to drive for CBC)
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
• Preferably a minimum of 3 months work experience in a food preparation facility
• Restaurant or retail environment preferred
• Must be able to understand English (read/speak/write)
