Your primary responsibility is to provide customers with a quick, easy, and enjoyable shopping experience. This includes assisting in transactions across multiple platforms such as in-store, online, and mobile sales using the store's point-of-sale systems. Handling merchandise carefully, including bulky and heavy items, and ensuring proper bagging are essential components of your daily tasks. As a fitting room attendant, your role includes greeting customers warmly, assisting with their needs, and maintaining the orderliness of returned merchandise. Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store is critical to the customer experience, so you will be expected to keep the sales floor and stockroom neat and well-stocked. Proper check-in procedures for incoming merchandise, accurate ticketing, and upholding operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards are also key aspects of the role. Technical proficiency is important since you will operate various technologies used in the store environment, promoting initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program. This position demands strong communication skills, a high level of accountability, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment. Physical stamina is necessary to endure continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift with activities involving bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching to handle merchandise effectively. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items including lifting items up to 25 pounds
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
