The Food and Beverage & Culinary team at The Ritz-Carlton Denver is seeking a full-time non-management Culinary professional, specializing in bakery and pastry preparation. This role is essential to maintaining the hotel’s commitment to exceptional quality and presentation in all food offerings. The position pays $25.42 per hour and involves hands-on preparation, baking, and decorating of breads, pastries, and other baked goods following established recipes and quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for studying the daily production schedule to understand which items need to be produced, preparing the dough and fillings, while ensuring all safety and hygiene standards are rigorously adhered to. Attention to detail is critical as is the ability to use culinary equipment and tools safely and effectively. The role also includes responsibilities such as monitoring cooking temperatures, maintaining kitchen records to comply with food safety protocols, and communicating with kitchen management about excess products and daily specials planning. There will be opportunities to assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating kitchen staff as well as mentoring team members. Maintaining a professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and fostering positive working relationships within the team are important aspects of the position. Physical requirements include lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds, standing for extended periods, and navigating various kitchen environments.
