This exciting opportunity is for a food expediter role within one of Full House Resorts' renowned restaurants. This position plays a critical link between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff, ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately, presented beautifully, and delivered promptly. The food expediter oversees the plating and presentation of all dishes, confirming that each order meets the company’s high standards and special customer requests are fulfilled. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor during busy service hours.
The expediter will be responsible for verifying orders received from servers, relaying modifications or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff, and monitoring the quality and readiness of meals for delivery to guests. As a liaison between the kitchen and service teams, communication is essential to coordinate smooth operations and manage any delays or special circumstances. Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness at the expediting station, assisting with guest needs promptly and professionally, and adhering strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines are fundamental to this role.
The position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the hospitality industry’s varied scheduling needs. Candidates with prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector are preferred but not mandatory.                 - Graduation from high school or equivalent is preferred
 - One or more years of recent and related hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred
 - Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training is preferred
 - Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as dictated by business needs
 - Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent walking climbing stairs bending stretching reaching pushing kneeling squatting crouching stooping and standing for entire work shifts
 - Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle trays plates pots pans and other kitchen utensils
 - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast paced environment
 - Effective communication and interpersonal skills
 - Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
 - Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with colleagues and guests
 - Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
