The role of Trade Compliance Analyst at TVH is a critical position within the logistics and warehouse department, primarily responsible for managing U.S. import and export logistics. This role facilitates a seamless operational flow of goods by coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders, making sure that shipments comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and other government requirements. The Trade Compliance Analyst acts as the main point of contact for all import and export activities, playing a vital part in maintaining the continuity of the supply chain and resolving daily operational logistical issues. This position demands both strategic and hands-on management of import/export documentation processes including reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, and other essential documentation. The analyst liaises daily with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely shipment clearance, entry filing, and release. They proactively track critical shipments, resolving any delays or customs concerns by collaborating with brokers and logistics partners. Part of the role involves maintaining detailed records of transactions for operational support, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout. Successful candidates will bring a minimum of three years of experience in trade compliance or related logistics fields, with strong foundational knowledge of U.S. import/export procedures, entry processes, and commercial documentation. They must be proficient in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and possess experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors that could cause delays or fines. Additionally, proficiency in software tools such as the Google suite and broker portals or Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is expected. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective coordination with external partners and internal stakeholders.
