Valle, a Guadalupe Valley Kitchen, is a distinguished Michelin Star restaurant led by the acclaimed Chef Roberto Alcocer. Nestled in the scenic Guadalupe Valley, Valle draws inspiration from the rich traditions of Mexico's renowned wine region and celebrates the bounty of local farms and fresh seafood. This esteemed restaurant offers guests a unique culinary journey featuring bold Mexican cuisine artfully paired with an exceptional selection of Mexican wines. Dining at Valle is an experience that combines exquisite flavors with breathtaking ocean views, especially from the seaside veranda in the Dining Room. Guests can choose between an intimate Chef's tasting menu, a la carte options, or enjoy a special celebratory evening in the private dining room accommodating up to eight guests. The Server position at Valle is crucial to delivering the exceptional service and hospitality that underpin the restaurant's Michelin Star status. This role involves presenting food and beverage options to guests, assisting in menu selections, and ensuring that each dining experience meets the highest standards of quality and excellence. Servers are expected to possess detailed menu knowledge and confidently recommend cuisine and drink pairings that enhance the guests' meals. The position requires a commitment to creating an engaging and memorable dining experience through refined service attributes and personal style. A Valle server is not just serving food; they are ambassadors of the restaurant's vision and dedication to culinary artistry. The role demands memorization of the full menu and wine pairing options and the ability to upsell effectively to contribute to the restaurant's success, including the pursuit of a second Michelin Star. In addition to guest interaction, servers will handle final payments accurately and participate in the general upkeep and sanitary maintenance of the restaurant environment. This is an hourly position offering $17.85 per hour, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. Work is primarily during dinner service, Tuesday through Saturday. Candidates will join a passionate team dedicated to hospitality excellence and an unmatched guest experience in a fast-paced, prestigious dining setting.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of fine dining or Michelin Star restaurant experience
- Must be able to memorize and recommend menu and wine pairings
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to twist, bend, squat frequently, and kneel or crawl occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Must stand for extended periods
- Excellent verbal communication
- Fluency in English reading, writing and speaking
- Basic math and computer skills
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Availability Tuesday – Saturday for dinner hours
