Leidos is a global leader in science, engineering, and technology solutions, providing cutting-edge services to government and commercial clients. The company excels in delivering innovative solutions that address some of the world’s most complex challenges, particularly in defense, intelligence, civil, and health markets. Leidos is recognized for its commitment to technology advancement and mission-focused service, making it an ideal environment for professionals aiming to impact national and global infrastructure reliability and security.
Leidos is currently seeking a Control Account Management (CAM) Lead - Air Traffic to join their team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program. TFDM is a revolutionary management system aimed at improving aircraft runway and terminal congestion. With national airspace becoming increasingly crowded, there is a critical need for efficient aircraft traffic planning to ensure safer and more timely flows of air traffic. The FAA Terminal Flight Data Manager serves as a surface management solution that integrates NextGen Air Traffic Control capabilities, which enhance air traffic operations across the National Airspace System (NAS).
The CAM Lead in this role will play a pivotal role in overseeing the control account management activities that contribute to the success of the TFDM program. This position supports the development, execution, and monitoring of schedules and costs, ensuring milestone achievements and seamless task coordination. The individual will provide leadership and oversight for technical teams, assist with proposal and change order activities, and support workforce planning and business development efforts.
The position is onsite with Leidos facilities located in Eagan, MN; Gaithersburg, MD; or Atlantic City, NJ. As a CAM Lead, you will be a key contributor to the program’s financial and engineering planning, including authoring and reviewing basis of estimates (BOEs), supporting proposals and task order preparations, and conducting variance analysis and baseline change requests. The role requires a deep understanding of software engineering life cycles and the ability to interface effectively with multiple disciplines involved in the FAA’s air traffic control modernization efforts.
Leidos values individuals who are proactive, highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control account management, cost accounting, earned value management systems (EVMS), and the ability to function within both Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies. A Bachelor of Science degree with experience or a Master’s degree with less experience is required for this role, alongside proven capabilities in managing complex technical projects under stringent deadlines and critical mission environments.
Leidos encourages innovation and a continuous improvement mindset. This role is crafted for individuals who do not simply fit the mold but are eager to challenge the status quo and build better solutions. If you are someone who strategically plans multiple steps ahead and thrives in a dynamic environment, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career while making a tangible impact on national air traffic systems.
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $95,000, reflecting the level of expertise and commitment required to contribute meaningfully to the FAA’s Terminal Flight Data Manager program.
