The City of Cleveland is seeking part-time Parking Attendants to support the management of its parking facilities. This role is critical to ensuring orderly parking operations and enforcement of parking regulations within designated city areas. Parking Attendants work under supervision to provide hands-on assistance in managing parking zones, operating control gate devices, and interacting with the public to provide guidance and support related to parking and traffic regulations. The position requires a reliable individual who can work evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to on-call situations as needed. As a Parking Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of parking areas by removing trash, clearing snow and ice, and ensuring that vehicles do not obstruct traffic flow. You will collect parking fees, handle cash transactions accurately, and be accountable for safeguarding collected funds. Additionally, there may be responsibilities involving the operation of shuttle buses to facilitate transportation to and from parking areas, and operating vehicles when necessary to manage traffic and parking operations. Parking Attendants also enforce parking rules by placing and removing barricades and answering routine questions regarding parking and traffic hours. Your role will involve working outdoors in various weather conditions, which requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods. This part-time position offers a flexible and varied schedule, with work hours assigned as-needed and adjusted on a weekly basis.
