The Banquet Coat Check Attendant role at the Graduate Providence is a part-time, seasonal position primarily serving the fall, winter, and early spring months. This position is essential for ensuring guests attending Banquet and Catering functions have a seamless and enjoyable experience regarding the handling of their coats and outerwear. The attendant is responsible for the timely collection, storage, and return of coats and jackets, ensuring guest belongings are secure and accessible.
Key to this role is providing outstanding guest service, which includes attentive, friendly, and courteous interactions with guests, managers, and fellow employees. The attendant assists guests by anticipating their needs and maintaining a pleasant atmosphere throughout the event. Knowledge of the event location, timing, and specific details gleaned from Banquet Event Orders is crucial for effective coordination. Strong communication skills, both in-person and over the telephone, support overall guest satisfaction and smooth operation of the coat check service.
This role requires physical stamina as the attendant must stand for the duration of their shift and occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to manage guests' personal items. The position demands flexibility with working hours, including nights and weekends, and sometimes extended shifts. - High school diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
- Light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand during entire shift
