As a Produce Manager, you will oversee the daily sales and operations of the produce department, ensuring everything runs efficiently while providing the highest quality products and service to customers. This role requires management of quality control, merchandising, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and managing inventory to meet the store's standards. Scheduling and staffing are crucial responsibilities, ensuring maximum productivity and adapting to the dynamic needs of the store. Communication plays a significant role, as you will relay standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to your team.\n\nBeyond daily operational duties, the Produce Manager also serves as a key holder for the store and may act as Manager on Duty when needed, reinforcing leadership presence and operational oversight. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $21.40 to $34.25 per hour, with pay determined by experience and qualifications. • Be at least 18 years of age
• Have 1-3 years of experience working in a grocery retail setting with management experience in produce
• Possess basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
• Have good communication skills
• Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout the workday
• Ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Capability to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet
• Ability to maneuver six wheel carts with required force
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift
• Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, sales numbers, and financial goals
• Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude
