The role of Dishwasher at Whole Foods Market is an entry-level retail position focused on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen and food preparation areas. The Dishwasher is responsible for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of floors, walls, shelves, and drains in the kitchen area. Dishwashers also assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries, rotating products, and ensuring compliance with Whole Foods Market’s quality goals and food safety regulations. • No prior retail experience required
• must be able to lift 50 pounds
• able to stand and walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
• able to use hand motions such as single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
• capable of bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
• exposed to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
• ability to work in temperatures from freezing to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit
• able to work in wet and dry conditions
• flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
• ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
• may require use of ladders
