This job opportunity at Le Pain Quotidien is for a crucial team member who ensures the kitchen and bakery operations run smoothly through dedicated dish machine operation and general kitchen maintenance. This role involves responsibilities that are vital for the hygiene, efficiency, and food safety standards of the restaurant. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $16.50 to $23.00, plus tips where eligible, reflecting the importance Convive Brands places on rewarding its employees. The role requires loading, operating, and unloading the dish machine safely and efficiently. It includes keeping the dish machine and sinks clean and reporting any mechanical or functional problems as they arise, ensuring all kitchenware, baskets, and crates are washed and stored properly. Maintaining adequate stock levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies, labeling and storing chemicals correctly, and managing deliveries or orders contribute to the smooth operation of kitchen and bakery functions. The position also requires ensuring that refrigerators and freezers are clean, organized, and well-maintained and that a sufficient supply of clean small wares, equipment, and tools is readily available.
Beyond cleaning and maintenance, this position involves assisting with basic food preparation according to checklists and preparation sheets to support kitchen operations effectively. The employee will be responsible for completing opening, mid, and closing procedures, daily checklists, and side work assignments to keep the entire restaurant clean and organized by adhering to detailed cleaning checklists.
