This Porter position at Gerber Collision & Glass plays a vital role in complementing the quality repair services offered by the company. The primary responsibility of the Porter is to maintain spotless cleanliness and appearance of customer vehicles both before and after collision repairs, thereby ensuring customers receive their vehicles in pristine condition. This role also extends to maintaining the tidiness and operational standards of the repair shops and office facilities, contributing to the overall professional image and safety of the workplace. The position involves a combination of indoor and outdoor duties, including daily housekeeping tasks within production and office areas, upkeep of parking lots and grounds, as well as assisting with vehicle transportation to sublet locations. Ideal candidates for this role should possess excellent multitasking abilities, a keen attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Automotive experience is preferred but not mandatory, as Gerber Collision & Glass provides an environment conducive to learning and growth. The Porter must be trustworthy, reliable, and have the physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and operating motor vehicles safely. With a starting compensation range from $15 to $19 per hour, this role offers a stable entry point into the automotive repair industry with opportunities for advancement.
