The role of the Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass is an integral part of their service delivery team, whose primary responsibility is to ensure customer vehicles are impeccably cleaned and maintained before delivery. This role not only contributes to the appearance of customer vehicles but also helps maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the shop and office facilities. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a positive, reliable attitude. Key duties include pre-washing vehicles before repairs, cleaning vehicles post-repair, maintaining shop and office cleanliness, and handling the transport of vehicles to sublet locations for additional repairs when needed. This role is suitable for individuals 18 years or older, with a valid driver’s license and the physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and operating a motor vehicle. Gerber offers competitive pay ranging from $15 to $18 plus per hour, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug insurance effective from the first day of employment.
