The Porter role at Asset Living plays a crucial part in maintaining the property and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. This full-time position is responsible for assisting in routine, preventative, corrective, and cosmetic maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. The Porter helps manage the make-ready process for rental units and performs general upkeep of community grounds, buildings, breezeways, and common areas. Adept at responding promptly to maintenance requests, the Porter ensures all repairs and replacements are completed efficiently to uphold the community's operational standards. The role also involves regular inspections to identify safety hazards or property issues and participation in the preventative maintenance program designed to extend the property’s life and reduce future repair costs. Additionally, the Porter is expected to maintain excellent customer service when interacting with residents, fostering a positive community image through consistent enforcement of community policies and effective communication. Physical demands of the role include lifting heavy objects, working in various environmental conditions, operating equipment and power tools, and occasionally working overtimes or on-call shifts for emergencies.
