The Porter/Gatekeeper role at The Scion Group is a critical position that helps ensure the residential property is well-maintained and welcoming. The individual in this role is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all common areas, both indoors and outdoors. This role is more than routine cleaning; it requires someone who can take initiative with maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, landscaping, and assisting with moving services. The Porter acts as a gatekeeper to the property, promoting safety and a pleasant environment for all residents and visitors. This position demands a customer-centric mindset, high attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to complete duties efficiently and in line with the company’s standard operating procedures, OSHA requirements, and industry standards. The Porter will be tasked with physically demanding work such as mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, maintaining irrigation systems, repairing exterior lighting, cleaning pools and spas, pressure washing, and conducting seasonal plantings. They must also be vigilant in promoting safety and emergency readiness, including knowledge of water and gas shutoff procedures. • High school/GED or trade school diploma and one year of full-time experience in lawn/grounds maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Efficient in reading instructions and documenting labor and materials
• Record of punctuality and dependability, ability to work with under pressure of deadlines, and schedule flexibility to accommodate after-hours and weekend emergencies
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer per day and lift up to 100 lbs as necessary
