The Porter role at TAM Residential is a vital position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of community common areas and assisting in the turnover of vacant units. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a proactive approach to ensure the safety and aesthetic appeal of the property. Porters at TAM Residential perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, ranging from cleaning lobbies and hallways to managing trash disposal and assisting maintenance staff. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.00 to $21.00 and a weekday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves regular inspection and cleaning of exterior walks, stairs, common areas, parking lots, playgrounds, pool areas, and other facilities to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment for residents and visitors alike. Porters also contribute directly to the upkeep of vacant apartments by assisting with trash removal and preparing units for new occupants. In addition to daily cleaning responsibilities, the Porter assists in maintaining storage and maintenance shops and operates various cleaning tools and equipment, including blowers and high-pressure hoses. There is also an expectation to replenish supplies and perform minor upkeep tasks such as replacing light bulbs and ensuring the availability of bathroom necessities.
