The role being offered is that of an Aircraft Ground Handler, which plays a vital role in the aviation operations team by managing various ground activities associated with customer aircraft. This position is full-time and requires an individual who can work efficiently under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and adhere strictly to safety protocols. The Aircraft Ground Handler is responsible for loading and unloading passenger baggage, air cargo, and airmail, as well as safeguarding these items against weather damage, loss, theft, or destruction. An essential duty is operating pushback equipment safely while coordinating with wing walkers, ensuring that aircraft can be moved without any risk. The handler also records and monitors customer baggage and freight, ensuring that documentation is accurately completed and entered into the company's information system.
This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items regularly, often up to 70 pounds, and work in varying environmental conditions including cramped spaces or elevated areas such as jetway stairs. The successful candidate will undergo ramp and Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) training to obtain airport authority identification, which is crucial for access and security compliance. Communication skills are vital, as the handler must effectively relay information and instructions using verbal or radio communications in a professional manner.  - Valid in-state driver's license
 - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
 - Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check
 - Must be at least 18 years of age
 - Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
 - Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
 - Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
 - Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
 - Must be able to work in cramped or high places
 - Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs
