The role of Server Assistant (Busser & Runner) at American Golf plays a critical part in the smooth operation of the dining experience at our golf courses and country clubs. This full-time position involves accommodating guests by setting and maintaining organization throughout both the Front of House and Back of House areas. The Server Assistant primarily supports both the host and server teams to ensure fluidity and proper preparation during service times. Responsibilities include interacting warmly and professionally with guests, preparing dining rooms by cleaning and setting tables, adhering to all sanitation and safety policies, maintaining table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and attending to any guest needs such as spills. The Server Assistant supports the server by managing condiment stands, trash container liners, and service stations. The role finishes with closing procedures including cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping or vacuuming floors, and waste removal. This position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Candidates should be friendly, courteous, well-spoken, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about the food and beverage industry. Physical stamina is essential, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
