The position of PCC Event Assistant is integral to supporting the company's cooking classes and various events both in-store and offsite. This part-time role offers competitive pay between $16.66 and $17.16 per hour and involves providing exceptional customer service to students attending the PCC Cooking Classes, as well as assisting Chef Instructors with classroom setup, food preparation, and cleanup duties to ensure a smooth and enjoyable class experience. The Event Assistant serves as a vital link between the educational cooking program and the community by helping cultivate an environment where participants feel welcomed and well-supported throughout their class or event. Additionally, the role requires flexibility to assist during store events and external functions, ensuring seamless event execution following established 'run of show' game plans.
This job is suited for individuals who have strong organizational skills, enjoy interacting with diverse age groups including children and adults, and are capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Physical demands such as standing for extended periods, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 30 pounds on a regular basis are part of the day-to-day expectations. The Event Assistant must be comfortable adhering to all sanitation and safety standards, including safe cleaning methods and product handling to maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
