The role of Pastry Cook at Blackberry Mountain is a full-time position based at their Walland, TN location, offering competitive hourly wages ranging from $15.00 to $21.00. This position is integral to the culinary team, tasked with the daily production of desserts served across the resort's restaurants. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bakeshop, ensuring all pastry supplies and equipment are adequately stocked and communicated to management. Your duties include the proper rotation and monitoring of raw and finished goods to maintain quality and safety standards, meticulous preparation and packaging of pastries, and overseeing dessert production cycles for lunch and dinner service. Additionally, you will participate in weekly cookie inventory and production, bake amenities for housekeeping, assist with special cake orders and dietary requests, and help with receiving supplies when needed. This role requires effective communication skills to liaise with guests, team members, and managers, as well as the ability to contribute to recipe and menu development. Physical demands are significant, including heavy lifting, extended periods of standing, and the safe operation of company vehicles or golf carts.
