The open position is for a Busser, Food Runner, and Expeditor working part-time with shifts primarily in the evenings including weekends, compensated between $20 and $27 hourly. This role is essential to maintaining the high standard of service characteristic of Los Altos Golf & Country Club. The successful candidate will act as an integral liaison between the kitchen staff and servers, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of food orders while upholding cleanliness and organization throughout the dining and banquet service areas. This role demands a proactive and communicative individual capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Key responsibilities include assisting servers with food delivery, managing food trays with accuracy by matching items to the corresponding orders, stocking and maintaining service stations, and preparing both indoor and outdoor function areas following specific event layouts. The Busser/Food Runner/Expeditor also plays a critical role in quality control by verifying food presentation and safety before serving guests, acting as the final checkpoint to ensure customer satisfaction. In addition to operational duties, this role involves maintaining sanitation standards consistent with health regulations and contributing to the upkeep and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workspace. Although the position does not carry managerial responsibilities, it requires reliability, punctuality, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and the broader food and beverage team. The physical demands of the job include standing and walking throughout an 8-hour shift, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and performing tasks that require bending, stooping, and reaching.
