The full-time Pastry Cook position at Carolina Country Club is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the art of baking and pastry. Reporting directly to the Pastry Chef, the Pastry Cook will play a critical role in preparing an array of high-quality baking and pastry items for all club dining outlets, banquets, parties, and special events. This role requires the ability to execute banquet event orders precisely, contribute creatively to dessert menu planning, and maintain the aesthetic and taste standards expected by the club's discerning clientele. The Pastry Cook is responsible for producing a wide variety of bakery goods such as breakfast pastries, desserts, cakes, pies, breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, and confections. Beyond baking skills, the role demands meticulous attention to cleanliness, safety, and organization in the workspace in accordance with OSHA and USDA standards. The Pastry Cook must be capable of maintaining bakery displays with fresh, artistic, and innovative selections and work collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver exceptional presentations for dessert buffets.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimal formal experience in baking and pastry arts
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch for eight hours or more

  • Ability to understand and execute written and verbal instructions
