The role of a part-time Trash Collector (Service Valet) at Valet Living involves critical hands-on responsibilities that ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of apartment communities. This position requires candidates to have a personal and reliable open-bed pickup truck or a similar vehicle capable of hauling a trailer, as these are essential for transporting collected trash and recycling. The job primarily involves collecting trash and recycling bags from residents' doorsteps and then transporting them to an on-site trash compactor. Unlike many waste management roles, this position does not require heavy lifting of bulk items, driving to off-site locations, or dumping, making it more focused and manageable. Applicants will engage in a physically active role that includes walking around the property extensively, climbing stairs, and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions. Use of the company’s mobile app is integral to the job, as it enables service valets to log essential service details such as arrival and departure times, tracking progress, and capturing photos of non-compliance instances. Scheduled primarily for evening shifts, usually Sunday through Thursday starting at either 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM, this role offers flexibility and an opportunity to earn extra income outside typical 9-to-5 jobs. With a pay range of $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, this part-time position typically requires around 10 to 15 plus hours weekly.
