Med-Trans is currently hiring multiple Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Helicopter Pilots to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time position that offers a compelling starting salary range between $87,019 and $95,720, with the potential for up to a 30% geographic modifier depending on the location. In addition, the role includes several attractive financial incentives such as a $5,000 IFR stipend, a $15,000 sign-on bonus, and a substantial $40,000 retention bonus after three years. The company also provides on-duty housing at most locations and operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule to support work-life balance.
The Helicopter Pilot will play an integral role in medical air transportation, working in direct partnership with medical experts to safely ferry patients and medical personnel. This role demands adherence to all FAA regulations and Med-Trans operational manuals, ensuring flight readiness and aircraft cleanliness at all times. Pilots are responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance and regulatory documentation, collaborating effectively with dispatch, flight crews, and other partners to optimize flight operations.
Effective communication and rigorous adherence to safety protocols are critical in this role. Pilots must also ensure smooth shift transitions by accurately conveying vital information to successive crews following Med-Trans protocols. Continuous professional development is encouraged and mandatory as pilots must maintain all required certifications and stay current with ongoing training. This role is not a float pilot position; candidates must be willing to commit to assigned locations.
