The Operations Supervisor at Encore plays a vital role in leading floor operations focused on providing top-tier customer service and effective staff leadership. This position primarily oversees the technical team ensuring operational efficiencies and high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained. The supervisor organizes daily floor activities, manages technician workflow, and assists with labor scheduling and operational planning to meet the unique needs of each event and client. Additionally, this role may participate in location administrative duties that support onsite operations and provide career growth opportunities. Reporting directly to higher management such as the Director of Events Technology, Director of Operations, or Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is integral in coordinating communications for event management and ensuring compliance with Encore's operational and service standards.
In this role, the supervisor leads by example, providing technical expertise and mentoring new hires while reinforcing a positive work environment that aligns with company values. This includes organizing the setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining equipment integrity through preventative maintenance and secure handling. The role involves significant interaction with clients onsite to ensure their needs are met and the technical setup functions seamlessly throughout each event.
The Operations Supervisor must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge of audiovisual systems, and proven leadership experience. They are also expected to actively participate in venue meetings and assist management in optimizing scheduling and operational efficiencies. Physical requirements for this role include the ability to perform various physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders. The work environment is dynamic and can include hotel, warehouse, and convention center settings with exposure to varying noise levels and outdoor conditions.
This position offers an hourly pay range of $20.09 to $24.60, with final compensation influenced by factors such as location, experience, and expertise. Employees may also be eligible for additional compensation including overtime, bonuses, or incentives. - Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- 3-5 years of audio-visual experience required
- Must meet and complete all relevant training and certification requirements
- Must have knowledge of technical theory
- Must possess advanced problem-solving skills
- Experience in leading workflow and team members
- Valid driver’s license if operating company vehicles
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must adhere to company appearance guidelines
