We are currently looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our dedicated team. This full-time position primarily involves auditing, balancing, and reporting on multiple departments within the hotel during the nighttime shift, primarily working from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The role is critical in ensuring all daily transactions are accurately accounted for, hotel policies and procedures are stringently followed, and any discrepancies or potential frauds are promptly identified and addressed. The Night Auditor will be instrumental in providing timely and precise financial information regarding various hotel operations including food and beverage outlets, front desk activities, and room management. Alongside technical competencies, the successful candidate will also be involved in guest relations by performing front desk duties as needed, such as express checkouts, thereby maintaining seamless service continuity during the overnight hours.
This unique position demands a candidate who can expertly manage financial records, conduct audits on cash and credit operations, and generate insightful reports that help guide the management team towards strategic decision-making. Responsibilities extend to handling deposits, tally sheets, house charges, over and short figures, and promotional postings, ensuring that every detail aligns with the hotel's standards and expectations. Additionally, the role involves preparing daily statistical and income reports and supporting other departments including PBX and bell services periodically.
Working in a hotel environment requires mobility, the use of various equipment such as personal computers, cash registers, and calculators, and strong communication skills to liaise with guests and hotel staff effectively. Physical requirements include the ability to lift light papers and files regularly, and occasionally handle heavier luggage items. Despite the overnight schedule, this role includes opportunities for varied tasks that foster growth, accountability, and professional development in hospitality auditing and administration.
