This job posting is for a Part-Time Merchandiser position servicing the Castroville, CA area. The role primarily involves merchandising fresh bakery products in grocery stores and local accounts to ensure that the shelves and product displays are well-stocked and visually appealing. The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining an organized back-room inventory, rotating products based on color code for freshness, and ensuring product availability meets consumer demand. Starting pay for this position is competitive at $21.35 per hour, with work scheduled on Wednesdays and Sundays. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in making the bread aisle and product displays attractive, neat, and accessible, thereby directly contributing to customer satisfaction and sales growth. The job may require physical tasks including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, and in some cases, driving DOT-regulated route trucks which requires meeting additional Department of Transportation standards.
