Alliance Highway Safety is a dedicated organization specializing in impactful community messaging primarily focused on highway safety programs across various states in the United States. These campaigns are carried out through strategic platforms such as sports events, entertainment venues, and high school programs, allowing Alliance Highway Safety to engage directly with diverse communities. Their mission centers on promoting safe driving behaviors to reduce accidents and save lives, making a significant contribution to public safety within the communities they serve. As part of their internship program, Alliance Highway Safety offers an invaluable opportunity for individuals who are flexible, outgoing, and highly organized to gain hands-on experience in coordinating sponsorship events nationwide. Interns will be exposed to the full spectrum of event marketing and corporate sponsorship management, learning from experienced professionals in the field. This role involves extensive travel to a variety of events including fairs, festivals, motorcycle rallies, racetracks, college sports events, and the impactful Choices Matter Program. The internship stretches from May 2026 through August or September 2026 and is stipend based. Interns will take on a wide range of responsibilities such as staffing events, coordinating travel, engaging with community and corporate partners, collecting program data, and reporting on the effectiveness of highway safety campaigns. This position demands strong interpersonal skills, adaptability to untraditional work hours including weekends and holidays, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Interns will also have opportunities to contribute creatively by using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva to develop marketing materials, enhancing their skillset. Additionally, interns will work closely with venue coordinators including school leaders, college career centers, and sponsorship partners to ensure that event activations meet all required sponsorship elements such as signage, announcements, and advertisements. They will also participate in team brainstorming sessions to improve campaign impact and maintain inventory management both at the office and off-site storage. This internship provides a comprehensive experience that combines fieldwork, event coordination, marketing, and analysis, preparing interns for future careers in marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, and related fields. Ideal candidates are junior or senior college students seeking semester-long internships to fulfill graduation requirements or recent graduates who are eager to make a difference in the field of highway safety. A positive attitude, strong multitasking ability, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are essential for success in this role.
