Alliance Highway Safety is a specialized organization dedicated to promoting highway safety through impactful community messaging and targeted campaigns across the United States. The company partners primarily with various states to implement highway safety programs that address critical issues such as drinking and driving, texting and driving, seatbelt usage, speeding, and more. By leveraging platforms such as sports, entertainment, and high school venues, Alliance Highway Safety effectively disseminates vital safety messages to diverse audiences, aiming to create safer road environments and save lives. The organization's outreach is extensive and multifaceted, including participation in fairs, festivals, motorcycle rallies, racetracks, college sports events, and educational programs like the Choices Matter initiative. This wide range of engagement underscores the company's commitment to fostering highway safety awareness at a grassroots level, ensuring the message reaches communities in memorable and influential ways. As part of Alliance Highway Safety's internship program, individuals have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic field of event marketing and corporate sponsorships. This role is designed for outgoing, flexible, and organized individuals who are passionate about making a difference in community safety. Interns will work closely with experienced staff members to gain comprehensive knowledge about managing sponsorship campaigns and executing successful event activations. The internship involves extensive travel to varied event locations across the country, providing hands-on experience in coordinating and promoting highway safety campaigns in diverse community settings. As an intern, you will engage directly with attendees and fans, share crucial safety messages, and help ensure the effectiveness of each sponsorship activation by maintaining high standards in event presentation and compliance with sponsorship requirements. Additionally, interns will be responsible for planning and managing travel arrangements, collaborating with venue coordinators such as school leadership and sponsorship partners, and conducting research to enhance marketing strategies and data collection. The role also encompasses reporting and communication with management to optimize campaign impact, preparing detailed recaps for clients, and documenting marketing activities through photography. Inventory management and participation in creative brainstorming sessions aimed at improving sponsorship engagements are also key components of this position. For those with creative skills, there is an optional opportunity to contribute to marketing materials using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva. The internship runs from May 2026 to August/September 2026 and offers a stipend-based compensation. This position requires the ability to travel extensively—up to 75% of the time—and work non-traditional hours including weekends, evenings, and some holidays. Alliance Highway Safety values diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected class.
