Metrea is a leading defense company focused on transforming cutting-edge commercial innovations into advanced solutions addressing some of the most challenging problems in national security. With a deep well of mission expertise, Metrea operates across diverse domains including Aerospace, Electromagnetic & Cyber, Digital & Synthetic domains. The company organizes its expertise into dedicated capability groups, which enable the delivery of high-impact, effects-as-a-service solutions tailored to meet complex defense needs. Additionally, Metrea supports its operational capabilities with six essential support groups: Operations, People, Finance, Legal, Strategy, and Solutions. These teams provide critical guidance and infrastructure that support the development and deployment of Metrea's specialized product lines, projects, and programs. One of Metrea’s specialized areas lies within its Air Mobility Group (AIRMOB), which is instrumental in developing and sustaining aerial refueling (AAR) capabilities essential to the operational readiness of the tanker fleet. AIRMOB manages fleet maintenance, airworthiness, and integrates new processes and technologies to ensure the fleet remains mission-ready and compliant with all regulatory requirements. This group coordinates across various teams to support a broad range of air mobility missions, enhancing operational effectiveness through logistics oversight and maintenance management. Metrea’s prowess extends to signal classification, direction finding, advanced geolocation techniques, and the development of specialized waveforms and radios for government customers. The Maintenance Controller role at Metrea is a vital position located within the Air Mobility Group supporting MSM's KC-135 fleet. This full-time, non-exempt position based in Moreno Valley, CA requires meticulous coordination and planning of aircraft maintenance activities on assigned shifts. The Maintenance Controller ensures the execution of maintenance operations aligns with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety standards, supporting the readiness and airworthiness of the KC-135 tanker aircraft. They serve as the technical liaison among Maintenance, Operations, and Logistics departments, providing expert guidance and monitoring maintenance compliance including deferred maintenance items and airworthiness directives. This role demands expertise in aircraft maintenance documentation, maintenance scheduling, and a thorough knowledge of FAA regulations such as 14 CFR 43 and 14 CFR 91. The ideal candidate holds an airman certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings and has a minimum of three years of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably including experience with the KC-135 or similar military aircraft. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential for coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring all work adheres to regulatory standards and company procedures. Metrea prides itself on a culture rooted in humility and driven by four key attributes: entrepreneurial spirit, systematic approach, discernment, and over-delivery. This culture fosters a hyper-collaborative environment united by passion and a commitment to excellence. The Maintenance Controller position involves dynamic collaboration with a broad range of internal teams and sometimes contract agencies to maintain operational readiness and support critical air mobility missions. Metrea offers competitive benefits including medical insurance options, dental and vision insurance, retirement plan eligibility, and parental leave. The role may require up to 20% travel and necessitates the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances. The Maintenance Controller works primarily during regular business hours but must be adaptable to shift changes and on-call requirements as dictated by business needs. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to national security efforts through a rewarding and challenging aviation maintenance leadership position.
