The Plantation Golf & Country Club is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. This part-time position offers $20.00 per hour and an opportunity to work in an environment that values both culinary craftsmanship and work-life balance. As a Line Cook, you will play an integral role in preparing food items according to standardized recipes and ensuring that every dish served meets the club’s quality and presentation standards. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for cooking to order, portioning, garnishing, and maintaining consistency across all menu offerings. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety regulations, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The role involves various responsibilities including receiving and inspecting food deliveries to maintain freshness and quality, storing ingredients under proper conditions, and assisting with overall kitchen cleanliness and organization. You will be expected to complete both opening and closing checklists, protect the club’s assets, and operate within the policies and standards set by the club’s management. Maintaining an active Food Handlers or Managers Certificate is a requirement to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, exceptional physical stamina, and the ability to utilize various cooking methods such as grilling, baking, and boiling.
